They said that we were lucky when the IED overthrown our truck They said that I have crawled my driver out of the wreck They said that I went back to take out our rifles and the computer too They said that the medic found me almost stunned near my teamate They said that I bled from ears, nose and both legs and could not answer They said that I deserve the Croix de la Valeur Militaire and had to be proud of that But I could not remember a single thing... nothing between the end of the briefing and the awakening in the hospital with a concussion, perforated eardrums and 12 scares on my legs... almost 3 days totally wiped of my brain. woke up at 3 AM this morning... my father was called to take command of 2 paratroopers companies for immediate departure to Paris. It's the first time for an emergency deploiement in France which was not an exercise for my father. He went to former Yugoslavia, he went to Ivory Coast, Chad and Malia, he went to Afghanistan and today he goes to Paris with machine guns and rifles loaded... What a nightmare. Is the war in our street ? 128 people died... Could we have any hope in this situation ? Today I went to an hospital to give my blood... that's the only thing I can do for helping. sadness and inner rage... Sad saturday.

In Remembrance of the braves Today I had a thought and a prayer for all the victims of the first World War... 1.397.800 french soldiers and about 300.000 french civilians were killed during this war, only  russian suffered more losses on the allied side. 4 of these soldiers bore the same name as me, 2 others were from my mother's family. In my country, almost all families had their name written on a monument. For the soldiers of this war, 1914-1918 would have been the last war in the world. Unfortunatly, there are always war in the world. If we forget them, they would have died for nothing.

Toddlers’ words Toddlers have their own logic, which could not be easily understand by adults.
